Like so many of us, I started in a support role. I've worked my way through almost every layer since: the service desk, infrastructure and networking, security consulting, and now Data Security & AI.

That route shapes how I work. I've been the one taking the call when a security policy got in someone's way, so I know a control only works if people can live with it. And I've built enough of what sits underneath (Active Directory, Entra, Defender, Intune) to know that a label or a DLP policy only holds if the devices, identities and apps around it are set up to respect it.

Classification, sensitivity labels and DLP in Microsoft Purview. The technology is rarely the hard part; the hard part is a label scheme people will actually use.

Securing

What Copilot and AI agents can see, and what they shouldn't. Oversharing, permissions, prompt injection and data leakage. The security around AI, not building it.

icrosoft Security

Windows, Entra, Defender and email, treated as one environment instead of four products. Most gaps sit between the tools, not inside them.

ow I work

I'd rather people practise security than sit through it. That's why I built LabelNinja, a game that turns data classification into calls you make yourself instead of a table you skim once during onboarding. It started in my own client workshops; now anyone can play it.
